Bringing Somali National University’s mission of education, research, and national development to the northern regions of Somalia.
Overview
The Badhan Campus is one of the principal campuses of Somali National University (SNU), extending the University’s reach into Somalia’s northern regions. Located in Badhan, in Sanaag, Puntland State, the campus provides students in the north with comprehensive academic programs and a welcoming campus life rooted in excellence and opportunity.
The campus reflects SNU’s commitment to nationwide access to higher education, offering students in Puntland the opportunity to pursue accredited undergraduate programs without needing to travel to Mogadishu. As part of SNU’s network of five campuses, Badhan strengthens the University’s presence across Somalia and ensures that students from the northern regions have the same access to quality, affordable education as their counterparts elsewhere in the country.
In addition to its academic offerings, the Badhan Campus plays a role in community engagement and regional development, aligning teaching and learning with the needs of Sanaag and the wider Puntland State. As the campus continues to grow within the SNU system, it is positioned to expand its programs and facilities in line with regional demand.
Designed to provide students with a supportive and welcoming learning environment, the Badhan Campus offers classrooms and academic facilities intended to foster student achievement and campus life, consistent with SNU’s standards across all its campuses.
